What I am trying to say is that if the band wanted they could record AAA, but for whatever reason the band, I guess bounced the tape. The Strokes contrary to popular belief are not an indie band they were signed to RCA!!! The Strokes were so hyped and there was a bidding war to see which label could have them. They didn't like the sound so they went with him. I know that The band chose Gordon Raphael because they originally worked with a very expensive and "top" producer in the industry. The Strokes were the most hyped rock band of 2000-2002 you could say the 2000s. ![]()
